Introduction
Dr Peter J. Hill is an author, geologist and international
energy executive with more than fifty years of experience in
the global oil and gas industry.
Throughout his career, he has held senior technical,
managerial and executive leadership positions across Europe,
the Middle East, South America, Australia and North America.
Beginning his career with BP in 1972 as a sedimentologist,
Peter went on to become Chief Geologist of the BP Group and
later President of BP Venezuela, helping shape exploration
and energy development across several continents.
His career spans periods of major geopolitical and industrial
change, experiences that now inform his writing and historical
fiction.
